The biggest wins you can achieve in Side Bet City at Mega 8:
Royal Flush on the 7-Card Bet
Some players love poker for the strategy and skill it demands. Others are drawn to casino games for the sheer thrill of a moment that can change in an instant. Side Bet City at Mega 8 is a game that manages to bring both elements together in a remarkably clever and captivating way. It is not your typical poker game — it is a live casino experience that is entirely unlike anything you may have played before.
At its core, Side Bet City is a live poker game hosted by a real dealer from a world-class casino studio. The dealer simultaneously deals three separate sets of cards — three cards, five cards, and seven cards — on the table at once. Players do not compete against each other or against the dealer. Instead, you simply place bets on whichever set of cards you believe will form a strong poker hand. The higher the poker hand value, the bigger your payout.
What makes Side Bet City at Mega 8 what makes it special is the simplicity that sits beneath a surprisingly strategic layer. Unlike conventional poker, which requires a grasp of complex mathematics and opponent psychology, Side Bet City lets you play at a relaxed pace — simply choose which card set to bet on and let the dealer do the rest. That said, there is room for strategy in how you distribute your bets across the three available card sets.
Side Bet City was originally introduced by Evolution Gaming, one of the world's most renowned live casino software developers. The game quickly gained worldwide popularity thanks to its straightforward concept that still offers enough depth to engage seasoned players. At Mega 8, Side Bet City delivers high-definition video streaming, friendly professional dealers, and an interface fully optimised for Malaysian players — from your home desktop right down to the smartphone in your hand.
Side Bet City has one of the highest RTPs in the Live Casino category — reaching 98.04% on certain bet types. This represents exceptional value for Malaysian players, making it a far more attractive option compared to many other casino games that typically carry a lower RTP. At Mega 8, this transparency in value is part of the platform's commitment to providing a fair gaming experience for all players.
Many Malaysian players who are familiar with poker — whether from physical casinos or online play — tend to be a little skeptical of Side Bet City at first. "Isn't this just regular poker?" is a question that comes up often. The answer is no — it's actually far simpler and faster than conventional poker. There's no bluffing, no waiting for other players to make decisions, and no risk of "tilt" from emotional misjudgements. Every round at Mega 8 each round wraps up in just a few minutes, making it an ideal choice for Malaysian players with limited time who still want a quality live casino experience.
Side Bet City at Mega 8 offers three main bet types — each with its own payout table. Get to know each one before you play!
The dealer deals 3 cards from a standard 52-card deck. You bet on whether those three cards will form a strong poker hand. The minimum winning hand is a Pair, and the maximum payout for Three of a Kind is 40x your stake. This is the bet type with the highest win frequency in Side Bet City, making it ideal for players who prefer more consistent wins.
Five cards are dealt and you bet on the poker hand formed from those five cards. The minimum qualifying hand is a Pair of Tens or Better, and the maximum payout for a Royal Flush is 100x your stake. A balanced bet type that blends win frequency with meaningful payout potential.
Seven cards are dealt and you select the best poker hand from any combination of 5 out of 7 cards. A Royal Flush from 7 cards pays extraordinarily well — up to 1,000x your stake! This is the highest-potential wager in Side Bet City, perfect for players bold enough to bet big for a big win.
Side Bet City at Mega 8 also offers a unique option to bet on whether a specific set of cards will not forming a winning hand. This "Lose Bet" option pays 0.5x your stake when no hand wins — a smart hedging strategy for players who know how to manage their risk at the Side Bet City table.

While Side Bet City is a game of chance, experienced players at Mega 8 use a few smart approaches to get the most out of their sessions and maximise their playing value:
For players new to Side Bet City at Mega 8, the 5-Card Bet is the most well-rounded starting point. It offers the best RTP at 98.04%, striking a solid balance between win frequency and payout potential — with payouts of up to 100x for a Royal Flush.
The "Lose" bet that pays 0.5x is a useful hedging tool. Some experienced Mega 8 players place a small "Lose" bet on a card set they feel is unlikely to win — this helps cushion the impact of losing rounds and keeps your balance more stable throughout the session.
You can bet on all three card sets simultaneously in a single round. A popular strategy among Mega 8 players is to bet bigger on the 5-Card (for the best RTP), a moderate amount on the 7-Card (for big-win potential), and a smaller amount on the 3-Card (for more frequent wins that help sustain your balance). This strikes an effective balance between risk and reward.
Side Bet City moves at a fast pace — which can lead you to play longer than planned if you're not careful. Before playing at Mega 8, set two limits: the maximum amount you're comfortable wagering in a single session, and a win target that will prompt you to stop and walk away with a smile.
Mega 8 displays a live record of recent round results while you play Side Bet City. Although each round is independent (no "pattern" can be reliably relied upon), keeping an eye on past result trends can help you make more informed betting decisions and identify more active tables.

Imagine sitting at a lavish casino table in Las Vegas, watching a professional dealer handle cards with practiced flair while city lights shimmer outside the window. Now picture all of that available on your phone, from the comfort of your home in Shah Alam or your favourite kopitiam in Penang. That's exactly what Side Bet City at Mega 8 set out to achieve — and honestly, it delivers exceptionally well.
Since its introduction on the platform Mega 8, Side Bet City has quickly become one of the most-played live casino games among Malaysian players.
